For this spot, we decided to use miniature sculpted asteroids on turntables for the motion. Everything you see is in-camera and miniature based.

STRANGE ORBITS

Working with Caltech and the Keck Observatory we used data from observations of this weird planet to represent the orbital motion accurately for this animation. The background stars were made from glitter, then integrated into the 3D animation.
